Mark a Purchase Product as Inactive
Inventory Edition only
If a product is discontinued, it should be marked inactive. A product becomes inactive on all cost lists, and won't be available on any new purchase orders or material allocations.
Note: If just a specific color or model number is discontinued, mark just the product attribute value inactive.
- Select Purchasing > Edit Purchase Products menu.
- In the Product column, click the product name.
- Select Edit Product 'product name' and check the Inactive box. To hide the product on the inventory page, uncheck Track Inventory.
Here is the result:
- (Optional) To hide inactive products on the Edit Purchase Products page, click Options... button. Uncheck Display Inactive.
